I’m focusing on emotional wellbeing as our holiday of gratitude is today, Thanksgiving. Although a nice way to express being grateful is a simple, “thank you”, gratitude is more than a verbal action. It’s actually a deeper appreciation for someone or something that produces long lasting positivity in the mind.
I invite you to take a few moments right now and think about 3 things you appreciate in life. Next, grab a piece of paper and write them down (they may be really simple like the beautiful sunrise, having basic needs met day after day, hot water for a shower, a strong body to exercise, etc.).
I complete this practice of gratitude daily to keep myself in a constant state of positive belief. I compile my phrases day after day into what I call my gratitude journal. I challenge YOU to start one today for yourself too! There’s no better time than the present folks!
When gratitude becomes a daily habit, it truly does shift both your heart and mind to remain in a more calm, positive place.
